Volunteer Spotlight: Amber
“I was moved by all the support these ladies have to help women in recovery. I have a history myself with DV and addiction, I was thankful that the YWCA could help me in my time and I have always wanted to help people find strength. find courage, find forgiveness, and find themselves again.
Having all the discussions we have together is a highlight to me as it is for them; not only are we discussing subjects that help the women understand themselves differently and can help them change things within themselves to better their futures and their rebuilding of relationships with their children and families, but they enlighten me as well with who they are, who they want to be, their goals, successes, and achievements.
Their drive to succeed in recovery is absolutely amazing. I had a pull after hearing Angie to see what Hearten House was all about and how I could possibly help. I'm so glad I reached out and that we got to start this discussion class together. They are some amazing women and I'm Just thankful to be a small part of their new journey in life. I'm proud of them and I'm constantly rooting for their success!
Thank you Hearten House for all you do for these amazing women!"
