Volunteer Spotlight: Donny Goff
We are honored to have Donny Goff as a volunteer. Here is what he had to say about his involvement with Hearten House.
Vicki Rodkey talked to us about the ministry, which lead to a meeting with Marisa. I then started a bible study in the first house. I have once again taught a bible study with the ladies last year, and plan to again this fall.
The heart of this ministry is what spoke to my wife and I. In a world where people are labeled, disrespected and forgotten, Hearten House brings love, light and life. The ladies come in beaten and broken, and find healing through the God's touch that is obviously displayed through the ministry.
While we all know not all of the ladies who come to Hearten House will leave fully restored and lead a life without falling back into destructive lifestyles, the seeds of faith and love will be planted through the ministry. Those who graduate are a testimony of the foundation of this ministry. This isn't a place to get clean and sobor. This is a home that helps bring healing. A home that equips and trains for success. This is a home that points all people to Jesus. We are excited to not just see how God uses and blesses this ministry, but to also be partners!
