“My life before the Hearten House was unmanageable, out of control, and complete chaos. All of my relationships with those closest to me were non-existent as I had no presence in their lives. I was jobless, homeless, and hopeless; moving from couch to couch. I screamed out to God to help me out of the bottomless pit I had drank and drugged myself into. Three days and nights later I was arrested for my 3rd DUI in 10 years. I got accepted into Drug Court on January 30th and was accepted into the Hearten House on the 31st of January. After the bootcamp phase was over I surrendered my life to God.
In a short time my life became less chaotic, structured, and calm. My attitude turned into gratitude. My anger turned to love. I forgave myself and my past. I found joy, kindness, mercy, grace, peace and forgiveness. I now seek to understand, as opposed to be understood. I will always remain teachable.”
